Environmental sustainability

From the environmental protection and sustainability point of view, non-metallic jewelry is one of the best options in the future.For an example, the ceramic clay, the natural abundance of total metals on earth is much less and it is much worse than which called precious metals. Also, unlike the ceramic materials that are easy to harvest, one need excessive energy to mine metals and result in massive pollution. After mining, the metals are usually in their oxidized form which require further reduction treatments to extract the raw material. Not mentioning the following refining process include, electroplating, firing, and injection molding that all require immense energy consumption, which increase CO2 emission drastically. In contrast, ceramic based material does not require mining and most of the extra treatment to bring metals into jewelry designs. This is the new jewelry material which I am operating now.

With proper design and development, ceramic based material is one of the brightest future we can have for jewelry industry.
